Welcome to Jennie Reid Elementary!

 

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to a new school year at Jennie Reid Elementary! As a proud graduate of La Porte ISD and an educator for 27 years, I am honored to serve our students, staff, and families in the very district that shaped me. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and my master's degree from the University of St. Thomas, and I bring both a deep-rooted connection and a passion for educational excellence to our campus.

 

At Jennie Reid, we are committed to nurturing the whole child through strong academics, positive behavior supports, and a campus-wide focus on character development. Our House System is the heartbeat of our school culture, promoting unity, leadership, and belonging. Through this system, we emphasize the core values of GRIT—Gratitude, Respect, Integrity, and Tenacity—as we work to build character in every student, staff member, and stakeholder.
