After consulting with meteorologists early this morning and out of an abundance of caution, La Porte ISD will be closed today due to the potential for local flooding and hazardous road conditions later in the day.
We will continue to monitor conditions and consult regularly with area meteorologists and will provide updates as needed.
Please avoid unnecessary travel, use caution if you must be on the roads, and never drive through flooded roadways. Most importantly, please stay safe and take care of yourselves and your families.
